Dan Wickett was born in Detroit on a snowy morning in January 1966. His mother quit her job so she could stay at home to raise him and stayed unemployed until the family moved out of the city to the suburb of Westland nearly five years later. During that time, a sister was born to Dan. He is pretty sure she's read many more books than he has in her 1.5 less years of existence.
Dan's schooling consisted of many extra classes in mathematics, all the way up through his obtaining a BS in Statistics from the University of Michigan - all of which makes it very clear why he feels the need to comment on literature in his adult life.
These contibutor "martones" are great fun -- terrific way to kick off discussion of a terrific book.
